In an interview with Men’s Health, Zac Efron said that the recent alterations to his look were not the result of plastic surgery. The actor said that he hit his chin against a granite fountain and cracked his jaw.
When Zack appeared on Bill Nye’s Earth Day show in April 2021, rumors about the procedure first surfaced. A short clip of the actor’s look in the video rapidly went viral online, with claims that Efron had altered and that his lower face had grown more huge. The explanation for this was given as plastic surgery.
Zac addressed the claims in a fresh interview for the first time, assuring readers that he didn’t see a surgeon. He is correct that his face did alter, but trauma, not plastic surgery, was to blame for the shift.
The actor said that while rushing home in just his socks, he stumbled, struck his head on the edge of a granite fountain, went unconscious, and broke his lower jaw.
Zack stated to a Men’s Health reporter that plastic surgery is out of the question since during rehabilitation, his chewing muscles started to expand too vigorously, which is why his chin now appears gigantic. Physical treatment, which would balance the growth of face muscles, was advised for the actor to treat the lower jaw issue.
Efron claims that because he avoids social media, he was unaware of the accusations surrounding plastic surgery and missed the internet excitement. His mother told him about the rumors. Somebody contacted and questioned if he had cosmetic surgery in fact.
The actor also discussed his second issue, agoraphobia, or the dread of leaving the house, during the conversation. Speaking about the condition, he stated that he makes an effort not to go out in big groups of people since it makes him have agoraphobia.
