Actors frequently have to step outside of their comfort zone when working. Here are several well-known movie moments that the Performers themselves find repulsive.
1. Kate Winslet – Titanic
Due to her embarrassment about her body and fear of baring in front of Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet found it difficult to shoot the scene when she asks Jack to draw her while she is completely exposed.
2. Natalie Portman and Mila Kunis – Black Swan
Natalie Portman won an Oscar for her portrayal of a dancer in Darren Aronofsky’s suspenseful film Black Swan, which was well-deserved. However, one image from this movie still brings back unpleasant recollections. It relates to their sexual encounter with Mila Kunis. Portman claimed in an interview that it was utterly absurd because she and Mila were good friends. The actor was considering hiring a stunt double, but she ultimately completed this challenging assignment without one.
3. Sharon Stone – Basic Instinct
When Sharon Stone discussed the iconic moment from Basic Instinct, she said that it had a profound impact on her life. The truth is that until the last episode, the actor was unaware of how the shot with the leg movement would seem. In order to demonstrate her character’s power over males and in an effort to get attention, Stone said that director Paul Verhoeven persuaded her to wear underpants. The woman was given a guarantee by the director that no one would notice anything in this scenario. The actor was shocked and unsure of what to do following the premiere, though. She allegedly even struck Verhoeven in the face.
4. Margot Robbie – Suicide Squad
One of the most intriguing characters in the movie is the Suicide Squad villain Harley Quinn, but Margot Robbie wasn’t pleased with some of the moments. Margot first felt uncomfortable moving around in little shorts and a ripped T-shirt. She also had regrets about the moment where her character leaps into a chemical pool.
5. Dakota Johnson and Jamie Dornan – Fifty Shades of Grey
All of the sex sequences in this movie, according to the actors who portrayed the primary parts, were quite challenging for them. The players had to lie chained and blindfolded for hours throughout the lengthy filming of several episodes.
6. Kurt Russell – The Hateful Eight
In a moment in Quentin Tarantino’s The Hateful Eight, Kurt Russell’s character, a bounty hunter, grabs the guitar from Jennifer Jason Leigh’s character’s hands and smashes it to bits. He is performing an ancient song on the guitar. Russell broke a $40k antique guitar that was a precious piece of musical equipment. The actor obviously didn’t know this, which is why he prefers not to recall this particular scene.
